Gradual Reopening Plans:
The Kent Public Library has moved on to the next phase of our library reopening, inviting patrons to schedule visits to the library building on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 12 to 3.
For the safety of our community, we must limit the number of people in the building at one time. Up to 10 patrons at a time will be able to browse for half an hour, and up to two patrons at a time will be able to use computers for an hour. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in close contact in the last 14 days with someone with COVID-19, or have been asked to self-quarantine, please do not come to the library building.
Masks which cover your nose and mouth will be required at all times in the building
If possible, one family member should visit the library at a time and pick out materials for the entire family.
If curbside pickup or ebooks are working well for you, we would ask you to hold off for a couple of weeks before scheduling a browsing appointment to leave time for people who are less comfortable with computers.
The library will be continuing to provide curbside pickup 6 days a week.
You can call the library at 845-225-8585 to schedule an appointment for browsing or computer use. You can also schedule appointments any time from your cell phone, using the free new app, myLIBRO, powered by ConverSight.ai in the Apple and Google Play stores. Pick Kent Library as your library. You will have to put in your library card number when you first set it up. The search feature does not work as well as our catalog at Kentlibrary.org but myLIBRO is a fine way to schedule visits.
