Gradual Reopening & Curbside

Gradual Reopening Plans:

The Kent Public Library has  moved on to the next phase of our library reopening, inviting patrons to visit the library building on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 12 to 3.  For the safety of our community, we must limit the number of people in the building at one time. Up to 10 patrons at a time will be able to browse for half an hour, and up to two patrons at a time will be able to use computers for an hour. Appointments are recommended for computer use, but are usually not necessary for browsing.  Masks which cover your nose and mouth will be required at all times in the building. If possible, one family member should visit the library at a time and pick out materials for the entire family. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, or have been  in close contact in the last 14 days with someone with COVID-19, or have been asked to  self-quarantine, please do not come to the library building.

Curbside Pickup:

The library will be continuing to provide curbside pickup, the safest and for many people the most convenient way to borrow library materials,  six days a week. You can request materials through the shared catalog at kentlibrary.org, by phone (845-225-8585) or by emailing library@kentlibrary.org .

Scheduling Appointments & Pickups:

You can schedule appointments for curbside pickup, browsing, or computer use by  calling the library at 845-225-8585  from 11 to 4 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 4 to 7 on Wednesdays, and 10-2 on Saturdays.  Or, you can use the  free new cell phone app, myLIBRO, powered by ConverSight.ai in the Apple and Google Play stores.  Pick Kent Library as your library. You will have to put in your library card number when you first set it up. The search feature does not work as well as our catalog at Kentlibrary.org but myLIBRO is a fine way to schedule visits or curbside pickups.  We look forward to seeing you!
