Interlibrary Loan

If an item that you would like to request is not owned by a library within the Mid-Hudson Library System, our interlibrary loan specialist can check within other library systems to see if the title is available.

The Process:
Before requesting an Interlibrary Loan item, please be sure that the item is not available within the Mid-Hudson catalog by searching here. The desired item must also be over a year old to be requested through ILL. Please be aware, some libraries are hesitant to send audio/visual materials outside of their library systems. Once your request has been sent, Lisa Ferry (the interlibrary loan specialist) will order the item. You will be notified when the item arrives. If the item is not available, she will call and inform you.

Ordering outside of the Mid-Hudson Library System takes longer than the courier service within our library system. Please anticipate possible delays and be patient.

To request an item through ILL, you may print and complete a System Hold/ILL Request Form to bring to the library or send an e-mail to ill@kentlibrary.org with as much of the following information as possible:
